The legendary La Vacada Farm in Huelquén, with all its charm and vast history, was the place chosen for a new expedition by Yamaha and Atacama Rides, which this time brought together 18 riders, who enjoyed a pleasant and intense day aboard their Ténéré motorcycles.
Former Dakar rider and current head of Atacama Rides, Felipe Prohens, tells us in first person the details of a happy experience that left all the protagonists motivated thinking about the calendar of activities they will maintain in 2025.
“This new expedition was really nice. With Yamaha we have given a more experiential touch to these experiences, and in that sense our focus is on offering more friendly routes, not so complex, which allow many of those present to attend with their partners.
We try to differentiate ourselves by choosing really cool destinations, going to good restaurants and experiencing live cooking, that is, we go with a chef and set up outdoor locations with a whole range of hospitality for clients, which we mix with a few clinics and test drives focused on Yamaha's Ténéré models.
On this last day something very special happened, as we went to my cousin Carlo de Gavardo's farm. Yamaha trusted this new proposal, we stayed in the house, we brought chef Sebastián Osorio, who is a caterer, who made us a shrimp risotto that was super good. We always include the chefs who accompany us, and we give them the space to give a talk and comment on what we are tasting, just as it happened on the previous occasion with the truffles.
From the start it was a friendly experience, with the presence of 18 riders, 7 of them with companions, and the additional opening of the Yamaha Blu Bikes store located in Francisco Bilbao. We raffled off some gift cards for customers and we were also accompanied by some of Yamaha's top management, including the general manager, sales manager and marketing manager. This created a very pleasant atmosphere and allowed us all to plan the calendar of activities for next year.
As for the destination itself, everything went perfectly, with super pleasant music and a wonderful day that gave us the opportunity to carry out several tests on the bike in a luxury location such as La Vacada.
Understanding that it was a special day, an election day, we took a very friendly and light route. We went to the Aculeo lagoon area, we surrounded it with a super nice path, and then we moved to Huelquén,
Almost all the riders tested the new Ténéré, which comes with several improvements compared to the previous model. It is a bike with superb performance for this type of activity, as our attendees were able to confirm on the ground.
The customers were extremely satisfied, they were grateful for the experience, we received very good and warm feedback, and on the other hand, the objective of showcasing the Ténéré brand and model, whose performance has so much to offer, was achieved.”
